Miss Utah turned investment pro, Soben Huon proves talent knows no bounds

Soben Huon, a Cambodian-American from Los Angeles, made waves in 2006 as the first Asian-American to win the Miss Utah USA title. Representing Utah in the Miss USA pageant, she broke barriers and proudly showcased her heritage on a national stage. Her win was a milestone not just for herself but for diversity in the pageant world, inspiring others from underrepresented communities.

A graduate of Brigham Young University, Soben earned her degree in Political Science and was recognized as a John B. Tsu Fellow by the International Leadership Foundation, which supports Asian-American leaders. Her ambitions took her beyond pageantry and academia. Fluent in German after a stint working in Berlin, she embraced new cultures and opportunities abroad.

Today, Soben thrives in the world of finance, serving as a Vice President at J.P. Morgan Securities. In this role, she offers financial planning and investment advice to a wide range of clients, proving her versatility and determination. Her journey from beauty queen to a successful financial professional highlights her drive to excel in everything she does, while staying rooted in her heritage. Soben’s story is one of breaking boundaries, embracing change, and inspiring others to dream big.
